Growing the Fruit of the Spirit by Kris Cox and Kris Hage
by This book is a wonderful resource for homeschooling parents, Christian parents, Christian educators and children’s ministers. This book is chalked full of information, teaching ideas, projects and worksheets that will help children understand the “Fruit of the Spirit.”
The book/workbook can be used as a homeschool or Christian school character-building curriculum or for family devotions. Each of the 10 chapters cover a different Fruit of the Spirit.. Each includes five lessons with a scripture to memorize, a devotional and discussion questions and activities to choose from such as coloring sheets and puzzles (which can be copied and used for more than one child).
What I really love is that the authors help parents adapt the material to different age levels (pre-K to 6th) and provides guidelines for tying material to art, music, math, science, history, etc. Both authors are homeschooling experts who write, teach, and encourage homeschooling parents. This guide can be used to fit any schedule of teaching—daily, weekly, etc. I’ve never seen a better resource for helping kids understand and learn about the Fruit of the Spirit.
