hi, I'm Sandra!

I’m a wife, mother, former teacher, author, journalist, travel writer, blogger, pray-er and prayer encourager.

Fifteen years ago, when I moved from the Washington DC suburbs to coastal North Carolina, I fell in love with all things Southern—the culture, the beach, grits, gumbo, and sweet tea!

Fun facts about me:

  • I love photography (I’ve even been known to wander off and get lost while taking photos).
  • I bake when it’s cold, rainy or I’m stressed.
  • My favorite books are mysteries and historical fiction.
  • I was once stranded overnight on a deserted island with my husband.
